Privacy Policy

TravelHealthAI helps you keep medication and care continuity across travel. This policy explains what we collect, what stays on your device, and what happens only when you choose optional features.

On-device by default

Your trip details, health profile entries, packing lists, Care Card, and readiness findings are stored on your iPhone by default. We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising trackers.

HealthKit

If you grant HealthKit access, TravelHealthAI can import immunization, medication, and allergy records from Apple Health. Imported records stay in the app's local data and are used only for travel continuity preparation inside the app — except that a medication name may be sent to our AI provider if you separately consent to and use AI explanations for a medication-related finding (see Optional AI explanations below). Imported records are never sent anywhere else, including to our analytics/telemetry. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Health ▸ TravelHealthAI, or from the Health app's Sources list.

Optional iCloud Sync

If you turn on Sync (when available), continuity data may sync through your private iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. Apple’s iCloud terms apply. Sync is off by default.

Optional AI explanations

If you consent, TravelHealthAI sends the finding's details, your trip destination, and your health-context categories — plus medication names for medication-related findings — to OpenAI, a third-party AI provider, through our own server, solely to generate that explanation. This only happens when you tap "Explain" on a specific finding — never automatically, periodically, or in the background, and never simply because you imported or saved HealthKit records. Our own server logs only technical metadata for this request (status, model used, token counts) — never the finding content itself. OpenAI is contractually and technically required to protect this data to a standard equal to or greater than this policy provides: per OpenAI's API data usage policy, it does not use data sent through its API to train its models by default, retains abuse-monitoring logs for a limited time (up to 30 days), and encrypts data in transit and at rest. OpenAI API keys never ship inside the app. You can decline AI explanations at any time; on-device explanations remain available.

Notifications

Optional prep reminders are off by default. When enabled, TravelHealthAI may send at most one calm evening reminder before a trip. Reminders are scheduled on-device.

Analytics and tracking

TravelHealthAI does not track you across apps or websites for advertising, and does not use App Tracking Transparency identifiers for ads. We do collect anonymous, first-party product telemetry — counts like app launches, trips created, and paywall views, plus purchase product IDs — tied to a random on-device ID that is never your device ID, Apple ID, or IDFA, and is never combined with your trip, health, or destination content.

Deletion

You can delete trip and profile data — including anything imported from Apple Health — from within the app's Privacy controls; this also clears and regenerates your anonymous telemetry ID. If Sync was enabled, removing data from iCloud follows the in-app Sync removal flow.

Children

TravelHealthAI is not directed at children under 13.
